Weaving a balance between urban modernisation and corridors of natural environment is for front in today’s planning of growth in cities. Venice provides a history closely aligned with nature, architect Carlo Scarpa embraced the ancient world and imbedded a new set of constraints from the modern world of great cultural significance. Natures balance is delicate and the more we observe the ground lines the more we can preserve it. Without the ground line we lose our reference and how to care for our environment. Scenes from nature dissolve into lines of colour, spaces overlap with the ordinary becoming exotic.
