“Back in Australia, Kean became the most celebrated master of the traditional Japanese woodblock print in the country, while internationally her prints were awarded some of the most prestigious prizes including, in 2017 the Keiko Kadoko Print Award, (International recognition for exceptional expression of Mokuhanga technique) and in 1999, Triennale Prize, 12th Norwegian International Print Triennale. “

The Stables Print Studio

The Stables Print Studio is situated in a terpentine forest, surrounded by Japenese  gardens in the magnificent Galston area, 45 minutes from the Sydney CBD. 

​During the week, Roslyn Kean works in the studio,
with open student access on Wednesdays.

Kean Ball Bearing Baren

The KBB Baren allows you to print various types of relief printing and monotypes to any scale using either water base or oil based inks.
